Experienced Grand Jury Investigation and Pretrial Representation

Aggressive defense and discreet representation are two of the most-valued characteristics of law firms involved in high-level cases. At Cotsirilos & Campisano, LLP we are known for effectively protecting our clients' rights and reputations. Contact us to discuss your situation.

Our lawyers have more than 50 years of combined professional experience diligently providing high-quality, discreet personal representation to each of our clients.

A History of Successful High-level Defense

Our skilled defense attorneys have handled scores of cases at the grand jury, investigative and pretrial stages, achieving favorable resolutions in virtually every type of criminal case. During all stages of representation, we remain careful to protect not only the client's legal interests, but also his or her privacy.

Listed below are a few of the many favorable results our firm has obtained. In accordance with our practice of discretion, the only cases listed by name are those which resulted in published opinions.

  • We recently assisted an airline pilot in avoiding prosecution in a homicide investigation.
  • Following months of litigation, a lawyer accused of being at the center of the savings and loan scandal of the 1990s in the Lincoln Savings/American Continental Corporation investigation suffered neither criminal conviction nor any other professional or administrative sanction.
  • Following a lengthy investigation and indictment, federal criminal charges were dismissed against a former vice president of a major energy company in the first known prosecution under the Federal Commodities Exchange Act.
  • We represented prominent clients in two of California's most highly publicized sex crime investigations in the Federal District Court for the Northern District of California. In one of those cases, the firm successfully defended the client's privacy interest in sealing documents, against motions to unseal them on First Amendment grounds made by the news media before the United States District Court and, later, in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. The other case was resolved favorably short of trial.
  • Our firm represented multiple employees of an electronics company in a lengthy anti-trust investigation in which the company was ultimately convicted of federal anti-trust violations. All of our clients avoided prosecution.
  • Following a lengthy investigation, the firm helped a management-level employee, targeted by a federal grand jury, avoid prosecution in a highly publicized medical device fraud investigation which resulted in conviction and multi-million dollar sanctions against the parent corporation.
  • We assisted in obtaining dismissal of all charges for a fire fighter accused of sexual misconduct with a relative.

Cotsirilos & Campisano routinely litigates matters extensively at the pretrial stage by way of pretrial motions. With substantial experience at both trial and appellate levels, we develop and present top-quality written and courtroom pretrial litigation.
